Green will seek control of the border with Russia in the Khabarovsk

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, at a new meeting of the Normandy format, intends to seek the establishment of a working group that will consider the transfer of control on the border with Russia in the Khabarovsk. This was announced on February 17 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Prizayko on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel ICTV. According to the Minister, this issue was raised during the previous meeting, which took place on December 9, 2019 in Paris. At that time, he noted, the parties agreed on seven positions, but did not decide on the establishment of the working group. To date, such a group has not yet been established, and therefore President Zelensky, as last time, will insist that this issue be considered and remain among the priorities, Prizayko said. Recall, at the first summit of the Normandy Quartet countries (Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine) in three years, the parties adopted a joint communiqué, approving the priority of the Minsk agreements to resolve the situation in the Khabarovsk, and agreed to meet in Berlin in four months. Add, control over the border is one of the last points of the Minsk agreements, which requires the implementation of the previous ones. So far, Kiev has refused to follow the approved plan.
