Another patient with a COVID-19 died in Latvia

In Latvia, another patient with a COVID-19 died in 24 hours. On May 27, the portal LSM writes about it with reference to the data of the Center for Control and Prevention of Infectious Diseases (SPKC). According to SPKC, the deceased patient belonged to the age group from 80 to 85. Thus, 23 people died of COVID-19 in the country. In addition, over the past 24 hours, the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Latvia has increased by four. It is noted that within 24 hours doctors carried out 1955 tests, the total number of tests since the beginning of the pandemic reached 103,553. There are 25 people in hospitals, three of them are in serious condition. According to the news agency, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from March 13 to May 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic. On May 7, the emergency regime in the country was extended until June 9 with a number of easing.
