Belarus does not see the need to transfer centralized testing

The issue of transferring centralized testing (CT) to Belarus is not currently under consideration, Minister of Education of the post-Soviet republic Igor Carpenko said, BelTA reported on May 1. According to the Minister of Education of Belarus, the Ministry of Education works closely with the Ministry of Health and tries to implement all recommendations. If there is a need to postpone the holding of the CT for some other time, we are ready to discuss these issues, said Carpenko, adding that today there is no need to make any statements about the postponement of the opening campaign. Carpenko stressed that there will be no significant changes in the opening campaign. We have actually already joined this campaign. Admission figures have been determined, they have already been posted in terms of specialties on the websites of higher educational institutions, and the procedures for admission to higher education institutions have been approved. If there is a need to reschedule the opening campaign, we have a certain gap we can go to, the education minister said. It should be noted that the first examination within the framework of centralized testing is planned by the Ministry of Education of the Republic on June 13 (Belarusian language), the last on July 4 (world history). Also as reserve days for testing in Belarusian and Russian language are allocated on July 8 and 10, and for testing in social science, mathematics, biology, foreign languages, chemistry, physics, history of Belarus, geography, World History of recent time as reserve days are allocated on July 8 and 12.
