Russia handed over humanitarian aid to Cambodia to combat COVID-19
A shipment of humanitarian aid with anti-virus drugs was handed over to Cambodia by Russia to combat COVID-19. This is reported on May 21 by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the country on its page on the social network Facebook. According to the Russian diplomatic mission, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia Dmitry Tsvetkov held a meeting with the head of the Ministry of Health of this country Mam Boon Heng. During the event, a batch of more than 1,000 packages of the medical drug Cycloferon, produced by the Russian scientific and technical pharmaceutical firm Polysan, was handed over to the Cambodian side, the message says. It is also specified that the Russian company sent this medicine as humanitarian assistance to Cambodia to combat the new disease. In addition, it is reported that the parties discussed the six-year development of cooperation between the two sides in this area, epidemiological measures to combat coronavirus and prospects for the development of bilateral relations. It should be noted, according to the news agency, earlier it became known that the total number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan reached 2,950.
