21 cases filed against officials of the Latvian State Revenue Service since the beginning of the year

In 2020, 21 disciplinary cases were instituted against employees of the State Revenue Service (SGD) of Latvia, of which 11 are already under consideration. This was reported on June 16 by LETA. According to journalists, as a punishment in eight cases in five months of 2020, disciplinary measures were applied to release from his post, in seven cases the salary was reduced. It is noted that in 2019, during this period, disciplinary sanctions were applied to employees of the SGD in 33 cases, 12 people were dismissed. 19 employees were reduced their salaries, and two more were reprimanded. According to the news agency, in early June, employees of the Internal Security Directorate of the Latvian State Duma detained members of an organized group that included active employees of the department.
