Japan's ruling party opposes Xi Jinping's visit


The Liberal Democratic Party of Japan opposed the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping in connection with the adoption of a law on national security in Hong Kong, NHK reports. The party now intends to prepare a resolution and send it to the Japanese government. In it, deputies will express concern about the situation in Hong Kong, and will also call on the Japanese authorities to protect Japanese citizens in China. According to the news agency, on June 30, Japanese authorities regretted the adoption of a law on ensuring national security in Hong Kong. Tokyo also expressed deep concern on this issue.
