France is interested in Indonesia's energy sector

Indonesia holds investment campaigns to attract foreign investors from France to the country's energy sector, Antara reports. A statement by the Indonesian Embassy in Paris says that the pandemic has become one of the biggest problems and forced all parties to make various adjustments by introducing a new norm. Nevertheless, all entrepreneurs must leave their comfort zone and take advantage of Indonesia's wide-ranging opportunities. The main goal of this meeting of investors is to encourage French entrepreneurs to take advantage of large opportunities in the energy sector of Indonesia, said the Ambassador of Indonesia to France Arrmanata Christiavan Nasir. The Ambassador noted that Indonesia is firmly committed to moving towards a clean and sustainable energy system, as reflected in the national energy master plan. The Government of Indonesia is also committed to clean energy infrastructure and sustainable energy sources. It is known that Indonesia has made high commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 23% by 2025 and by 31% by 2030. Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest gas reserves in the world. Another equally important factor contributing to the interest of French entrepreneurs is the Government's political stability and commitment to reforming different sectors to create a favourable investment climate and facilitate business. It is known that representatives of 60 French companies took part in the online forum on attracting investments. According to the news agency, earlier Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Mahendra Siregar said that current relations with China do not affect bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States.
