There will be the opposite effect: Minsk warned the West against sanctions

Minsk warned that Western sanctions, if imposed, will have a negative impact not only on Belarus, but also on those countries that introduce restrictions. As an example, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei cited Cuba. Makei added that the suffocating policy of the West towards Belarus carries a special threat and is fraught with irreparable consequences.
